A baby's birth is a joyous, once in a lifetime event! Traditionally printed paper birth announcements are sent to friends and family to inform them of the birth of a child. Text usually includes some or all of the following information: baby’s name, date of birth, time of birth, weight, length, and parents’ and siblings' names. Pictures are not included with most traditional birth announcements, but have become fashionable with the improvements in technology. Sending a photo with a thank you note is a nice touch. It is customary to send birth announcements to everyone you think might want to know. Birth announcements should be sent out as soon as possible and with in the baby's first few months. Adoption birth announcements are sent out when your adoption is finalized. The baby can be any age.
